10/02 – 11/03 Facility Reduction Manager: Managed the Department of the Army and the FORSCOM mandated Facility Reduction Program (FRP) for Fort Bragg, NC. Each demolition included coordinating asbestos inspections, abatement, managing demolition timelines and demolition permitting; submitting Housing for Urban Development and environmental approval requests; planning/estimating and tracking all demolition costs.
3/01 – 8/01 Assistant Plans Officer: 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC; Responsible for providing engineer, tactical and technical expertise to the Corps, deliberate crisis actions, Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise and exercise planning. Determined engineer force requirements, missions and necessary task organization for Joint Task Force operations. Provided technical expertise for mobility, counter mobility, survivability and general engineering planning to support the 18th Airborne Corps staff, Joint and Multi-national operations. Provided input for the Corps engineer to the Army and Joint doctrine development process and force modernization/restructuring process.
5/00 – 2/01 Executive Officer: HHC 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, NC; Responsible for a 150-member company of the only Airborne Engineer Brigade, provided administrative and logistical support, conduct force protection and sustainment operations for the Brigade Command and Control Communications and Intelligence nodes. Supervised the scheduled maintenance of tactical equipment including wheeled vehicles, trailers, generators and weapon systems. Supervised unit supply operations to ensure proper accountability with a total value exceeding $6 million. Supervised personnel administrative operations including promotions, awards, pay and evaluations for the 150-member unit. Monitored the unit's annual operating budget of $600,000. Served as the commander of Headquarters Company for 3 months of a 150 person company.
9/99 – 4/00 Assistant Brigade Logistics Officer: 20th Engineer Brigade, Fort Bragg, NC; Responsible for providing logistical support and sustainment of over 1,600 soldiers and 2,000 major items of equipment. Advised the S4 (Senior Logistical Officer) and the Brigade Commander on all logistical and sustainment issues. Ensured property accountability and unit transportation operations (road, sea, rail, and air) are properly executed. Maintains, plans, and updates logistical areas for the Brigade Garrison Standing Operating Procedure, Field Standing Operating Procedures, and Organizational Inspection Program. Responsible for the health, welfare, and professional development of one NCO and two Warrant Officers.
2/99 – 8/99 Task Force Engineer/Platoon Leader: 307 Engineer Battalion, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC; Responsible for ensuring the platoon was ready to provide engineer support anywhere in the world within 18 hours in support of 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, and the 82nd Airborne Division.
3/98 – 1/99 Assistant Personnel Officer: 307 Engineer Battalion, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC; Assisted with all personnel actions for a 620-person combat engineer battalion. Served as Aviation Brigade Liaison Officer during combat operations and Division field training exercises. Responsible for the efficient operation of the Battalion's Personnel Actions Center (PAC), managing the publications account, and other special projects. Assumed the S-1s duties and responsibilities in his absence.
